Talk to the leading renewable and solar panel installers in Northern Ireland, with an

McCloskey International designs and builds crushing and screening equipment at its 120-strong Dungannon manufacturing site. The facility already ran a 500 kW solar array, but on a zero-export grid connection much of its midday generation was wasted — daytime load couldn’t absorb the peak, and surplus couldn’t be sold back to the grid. TRE Energy audited the site’s actual usage, then redirected the existing PV through four 261 kWh battery cabinets — over 1 MWh of storage — each paired with a 125 kW hybrid inverter, shifting solar surplus from midday into the evening load. The result: a 20% cut in electricity costs, around 78% of demand now self-supplied, and an estimated 3.5-year payback — achieved without adding a single panel, by making the existing investment work harder.
