Talk to the leading renewable and solar panel installers in Northern Ireland, with an

Annie’s Foods produces pre-cooked meals near Garvagh, supplying across Northern Ireland with around 30 staff on a power-hungry site of ovens, chillers and cold storage. Facing a costly NIE connection upgrade to enable growth, the company chose to generate its own power instead: TRE Energy audited the site’s usage and peaks, then installed a 300 kWp solar system with three 150 kWh battery cabinets — 450 kWh of storage — and tied the existing generator in as battery backup rather than base load. The result is a site that effectively runs off-grid on its own generation and storage, removing both the electricity bill and the grid constraint that had been blocking expansion.
